This is messy and doing it first saves time cleaning it up as highlights on the boots can cover up any mistakes. The only advantage of the quickshade line is the strong tone, a great, dark, greenish brown that will look amazing on pretty much any board game mini, and has no polyshade equivalent color wise. So don't worry if these highlights look a little over the top at this stage.įirst up, drybrush the bases. The Quickshade Strong Tone will make deep and perfect shades on your miniatures and use heavy, brown. In a future step the Strong tone Quickshade that washes the entire model will darken the base colours and highlights, as well as make a blend between these two. Its fantastic all-round uses makes it ideal for any colour. With the basic colours down, it's time for some extreme highlights.
